Unleash the Mailman
My “Unleash the Mailman” campaign consists of a series of illustrations intended to be displayed as murals to tell the story of a heroic mailman who goes above and beyond to deliver his mail on time. The murals are designed to function as a cohesive system to contribute to the larger narrative, as well as individually, without needing the entire context of the campaign.
The story begins with a love letter being dropped into a USPS mailbox...
The mailman delivering the letter finds himself in a precarious situation: gridlock traffic...
He decides to abandon his truck and races on foot through yards, dodging dogs and jumping fences - the mailman has been unleashed!
He finally arrives at his destination with the love letter intact and in hand...
USPS saves the day and delivers the love letter to the rightful recipient.
The mural designs either feature or mimic a style of graffiti that was inspired by the regular occurance of defaced mailboxes and mail trucks.
